QHub – Safe Spaces for LGBTIQA+ Young People and Families
QHub is a free, co-designed mental health and wellbeing service supporting LGBTIQA+ young people up to the age of 25 and their families across Geelong, Ballarat and the Surf Coast. Delivered by Queerspace in partnership with Cafs and Wellways, QHub provides safe, affirming spaces where young people can access wraparound support, build social connections and develop a strong sense of belonging within their local community.
Services include free individual counselling, peer support, family counselling, parent and carer support, case management, advocacy and referrals, alongside drop-in groups and community events for different age groups. Young people can also connect with positive peer and intergenerational role models, educational workshops and inclusive social activities designed to strengthen wellbeing, confidence and resilience.
All services are free and delivered by queer-identifying staff with lived experience, ensuring support is affirming, accessible and grounded in community. QHub also partners with schools, organisations and community groups to deliver LGBTIQA+ inclusion training, helping create safer and more inclusive communities across regional Victoria.
