Rural Rainbows – LGBTQIA+ Youth Group in the Yarra Ranges
Rural Rainbows is a free, peer-led social group for LGBTQIA+ young people and allies aged 12–25 living in the Yarra Ranges. Delivered by EACH, the program provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where young people can build friendships, explore their identities and connect with others who understand their experiences, particularly in regional and rural communities.
Weekly meetups combine social connection with fun, creative and educational activities shaped by the interests of participants. Young people can take part in games, arts and crafts, movie nights, community events, workshops and discussions about topics that matter to them, while developing confidence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging.
Rural Rainbows celebrates diversity and creates opportunities for LGBTQIA+ young people and their allies to connect in an affirming environment free from judgement. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, find community or simply spend time in a space where you can be yourself, Rural Rainbows offers a supportive place to belong close to home.
