WithRespect – Family Violence Support for LGBTIQA+ Communities
WithRespect is a specialist family violence service supporting LGBTIQA+ people, families and communities across Victoria. Delivered by Queerspace, the service recognises that family violence can affect people of all genders, sexualities and relationships, and provides inclusive, affirming support tailored to the unique experiences of LGBTIQA+ communities.
WithRespect offers free case management and counselling for people experiencing family violence, as well as those using violence who want support to change their behaviour. Services focus on improving safety, recovery and long-term wellbeing through individualised support, safety planning, advocacy, referrals and connections to housing, legal, health and community services where needed.
The service also works with partners, families and professionals to strengthen responses to family violence and increase awareness of the unique barriers LGBTIQA+ people can face when seeking support.
If you’re experiencing violence, supporting someone you care about, or looking to better understand healthy relationships, WithRespect provides compassionate, non-judgemental support that is grounded in dignity, inclusion and respect.
